Moneyglass found its way to Glenravel and slpit into 4 teams to compete in this Go Game Blitz.

Moneyglass Og turned up and made their mark at Glenravelsuccessfully playing against both Antrim and the home team and deserved an ice cream to finish the morning off.

Under 8’s played well against there opponents and enjoyed the bouncy castles and refreshments afterwards.

The under 10 boys and girls jelled well together and played well against both their opponents . The smiles says it all and they had a good time back at Glenravels Tombola and games .

Thanks to all who attended at quite short notice , there are three Go Games left and the children should have received the dates on a hand out but it is also posted at the club notice board . Times are arranged by the hosting club and we only get notified the week of the game . We will send out a club text alert with the time and if you want added to the club members alert system give your coach the contact number .

The trials will take place on Saturday, 19th of February in Woodlands playing fields, Belfast. The trials will be held in blocks of 40 players - which will include skills tests and game sense analysis (players will take part in a small sided game). This means that you will be tested with 39 other players and you will only be requested to come to a trial once. NB – there will only be one trial.
After the deadline of Tuesday, 15th of February, players will be contacted with regards the timeslot of their trials. We will try to host the South Antrim players in the first block (10am to 12pm) and the South/West and North Antrim players in the second block (12.30pm to 2.30pm).
We have been invited to attend this blitz in Cargin for our U6-U8-U10 . Starting time 5pm and as normal all players should be properly kitted out in Moneyglass kit , wear football boots and have a drink with them .

Moneyglass Cul Camp and Saffron Og was enjoyed by 89 children this year , who enjoyed the good weather conditions unlike last year and had visits from County players such as Paddy Cunningham throughout the week .

Boys and girls enjoyed the drills and games set up by their coaching team lead by Kevin Brady , Ciara Mc Coy ( All Ireland Ladies 2009) , Ryan Mc Greevy , Niall Boyd and Brendan Marron .

Children asked Paddy when did you start the Shuffle ?

The Saffron Og were coached by Ulster Council coaches and again enjoyed the tasks and games set by the coaches . Many friendships have been made and hopefully will bring them back to the field.

The coaching team for 2010 lead by Kevin Brady , a special thanks to Bridie Scullin who has been always in the background in the club but keeps us all in order and up to date . An enormous amount of work goes into the preparation of the Camps and thanks to Bridie and Michelle O Donnel for their patients and help.
Following on from the success of the Saffron Ogs and the Cul Camps within the county, Antrim have decided to attempt to “raise the bar” for our teenagers. Antrim are running several coaching camps for teenagers between the ages of 14 and 17. These camps will be intensive 3 day events organized and coached by full-time coaching staff from both Antrim and Ulster GAA. They will include a variety of elements for Skill Development (e.g attacking play, decision making) and Player Education (e.g nutrition, core stability). There will be guest appearances from county hurling and football stars. The camps are open to all club and development squad players within the relevant age groups. The cost is £15 per person. This includes a unique Under Armour ‘Campa Saffron’ t-shirt. Please see the Campa Saffron schedule below:
