2011 Dinner Dance

The  Antrim Ladies Intermediate Champions 2011 are St Ergnat’s GAC , Moneyglass and they celebrated after receiving the medals and a few soar heads on Sunday .

The Ladies celebrate d their success and danced the night awy to the music supplied by Stephen Mc Stocker . It was then the turn of Mens football to recognise the players who have made the difference to their teams throughout the year . Minor Player of 2011 went to Niall boyd presented to him by his brother from the senior team Ryan Boyd.

Reserve player of 2011 was presented by Kevin Marron part of the team management to Brendan Marron for his contribution throughout thr year .

During 2011 it was difficult to single out one person for senior player and it was awarded  jointly to Colm Duffin and Colm Mc Coy by James Marron part of the senior coaching team .

Special thanks goes to the members of the organising committee who arranged the dinner dance at such short notice . Everyone enjoyed the eveining and danced away into the early hours and there was a few soar heads and bad backs for a few of the older members who took part in rock the boat . congratulations to all the award winners .

All Ireland Ticket Draw

Any full member can put there name forward to be included in the draw to purchase tickets for the All Ireland Football final . Names must be given to Bridie by 8pm Monday 12th Sept . The draw will take place after the Tuesday lotto.

Tony Mc Coy Visit 3rd August Everyone welcome

Tony Mc Coy will visit Moneyglass pitch at 6.30pm to meet all the teams and present the seniors with their new jersey . All teams should turn out in club kit for the event . Pictures with Tony and individual teams will be taken on the night . Tony has sponsored the senior jersey and the coaches jerseys this year .

Martin Mc Grogan will also be there and present the Reserve team with their new kit which he has sponsored .  There will be a quiz in the Tumbledown after the  photographs and the press will be inviteded to the presentations .

Coaches and teams to be at pitchside for 6.30pm , everyone is welcome to attend and Tony will receive a presentation from the club .

The BBC will attend to do a live interview from 6.30pm for newsline , the Irish News , and local papers will also be in attendance . Please all turn up fot 6.15pm in Moneyglass kit .

Fight Night Fundraiser 26th August

Moneyglass hall will be the venue for a “Fight Night “  a fundraiser comprising of ten matches . Senior players will compete in the ring  against each other , following on from this will be music by Stephen Mc Stocker  .  Admission is by ticket only priced at £10 available from senior players  . U16 Hurling Championship Final Sat 2nd July

Six Under 16 Players from Moneyglass who also play hurling for Sean Stinsons will be playing in the Championship Final in Ballymena  against Glenarm @ 4pm on Saturday . Goodluck to them and all the team  in the final and hope you  can support  them at the match .  All suport welcome on the day  Goodluck .

Ahoghill are also running a BIG Breakfast earlier that morning from 9.00am to 1.00pm to raise funds for this successful hurling squad and again would like our support for  our player at this event . Price per breakfast £5 and £3 for children under 12.

Team Sponsorship (shirts )

Our club is now in the process of changing all of its club team shirts and we are looking for sponsorship for them from the local community and businesses in the area . If you are interested in sponsoring one of our youth teams then please get in contact with our PRO Stephen Mc Greevy on 07802204161 who will gladly discuss the issue . Currently we are looking for sponsors for U10 , U12 ,U14 , U16 , Minor . Supporting our youth teams is a very important part of our club and community we have over 130 children at under 16 and this is a great way to show your support for the voluntary work being carried out by our coaches . If you are a past team sponsor we will be in touch shortly to discuss what we intend doing .

Tesco Vouchers

Thanks to all the children and  everyone who collected and handed in vouchers at Mill Quarter and the club training sessions . A total of 5680 voucher were collected and thanks to Ursula Madden and Brendan Prenter for helping with the count .

Cul Camp 4th - 8th July

Cul-Camp takes place from Monday 4 July – Friday 8 July. 

Any child who is aged 6+ is welcome to attend Cul-Camp but much

be registered.

 

Registration will take place this Sunday 12 June at the Clubrooms

from 1.00 – 2.00pm.  The cost is £35/1 child, £70/2 children,

£95/3, 4 or 5 children and a family of 6 or more is £130.
