The minor’s played against Lisburn last Tuesday evening and won their match by 3 points the final score 6-3 vs 3-10 . Moneyglass started the game of quickly taking advantage of the breeze behind them in the first half Colm Duffin scoring three goals early on in the first half supported well by Ryan Mc Greevy , Niall Boyd and Caolin Redmond in the mid field . Lisburn recovered in the Second half and Moneyglass were 7 points down but came back and won the game by three pointswhen substitute Mark Caolin Duffin came on as and scored a goal.

Trials for the Antrim Minor Football Panel commence on Saturday 9th January 2010 at 2.30pm in Erin's Own Cargin. This trial is for South-West/North Antrim based players . On Sunday 10th January 2010 at 11.00 am the trials begin at St Galls for South Antrim based players. Players should arrive 30 minutes before trial times and bring their own water bottle. Clubs should note that a maximum of 5 players per club will be allowed to trial unless prior arrangements with the Minor Management team have been made. Players can trial at either venue but should let the Minor Management team know beforehand .
The minor play cargin in the semi-final on Saturday 15th August in Randalstown match starts 7pm , the lads would appreciate as much support out as possible.
The Minor team has won their latest championship replay against St Teresa’s on Friday 10th July . After drawing in the first round they won the replay 2-14 vs 0-8 . A fine display of team work and discipline won the day for this up and comming Moneyglass side . The Minor now are in the semi final of the Laverty cup and B Championship . Lets get out and support them!

On Thursday the Minor team played against St Endas in a contest of endurance which went into two periods of extra time in the Laverty cup . In the first half the lads were behind 5 points to a strong and confident St Endas . Moneyglass in the second half after their break came out with ther heads up narrowing done the lead point by point to eventually draw the match at full time . The legs were tired on both teams and the ground was heavy as the lads played the first period of extra time , Moneyglass again trailing by 3 points as the whistle blew . The coaches rallied around the Minor players and in the second period of extra time , Moneyglass lifted themselves and the game as loosing was not an option . Moneyglass Minor’s replied by firstly scoring two points in succession and then a fine goal which was not the end as they surged forward in the last minutes and put away a further two points . The final score for Moneyglass 2-16 - 1-14 .

Moneyglass 0-8 vs 0-3 Dunloy
It was a well deserved away win against Dunloy for the Minor team winning by 5 points . The minor team have settled in well and were down seven players as they took to the field . Its a different style of play to last year but the lads have adapted well and settled into their positions . A good team performance all round , the Laverty Cup 1st round match is next on Tuesday 29th April 7pm when they are away to Tir Na nOg , good luck lads and well done .
