On Saturday 12th June we asked for helpers to lend a hand and tidy up a few long needed repairs .Thanks to everyone who turned upand gave their time to improve the look of our club grounds .

Praying for more help on the pavillion may work ,but get on with it .

Were did that penalty spot go Hugh ? it was there yesterday Kevin.

My lovely post as good as new , only two more left.

Flags being layed at the changing rooms and the home dugout was plastered .

Hugh Brady and Ghosty Adams taking a break during the clean up along the entrance .

The fence around the pitch is being repaired , the broken boards and pillars are being replaced and the fence painted.

Strippers of a different sort work tirelessly around the pitch preparing the boards for painting .

Thanks to everyone who turned up on the day and to Bridie and Ursula for making the tea and refreshments . These people are working to improve our grounds not just talking about it . If you can assist in anyway please contact Sean O Boyle .We need bodies to help paint the fence and also help build a wall at the pavilion .

St Ergnats Strategic Development Plan is due to be published on La na gClub (Club Day) on Sunday 10th May. The plan sets out the strategic direction for the club and GAA in Moneyglass for the next 5 years and beyond, following successful consultation events held throughout 2008, with both the club members and the wider community .
The aim of the plan is to set out the best possible future for the club and its members and we would wish to thank all those who have attended the consultation events and assisted the process in anyway.
Thank you for your input in the Club Development process to date . By now, you will have had an opportunity to voice your views on the development of your club . feedback has been gathered through the following events/consultations .
- “Your club in Your community ” evening in O’Neill Arms hotel
- Consultation with the senior players (men and ladies)
- Questionaire from parents of Underage players
- Meeting of main interest groups in the area (youth club, hall committee etc)
Each of the above groups and individuals were asked the same questions:-
- What is good about the club?
- What needs to improve?
- Who needs to be involved ?
- What is your role?
The Development Committee and the Club Committee have met to concider ALL of the suggestions made by all the groups consulted .
We concidered which issues were the responsibility of the football club, and then grouped the relevant issues under six broad themes which are detailed below. These themes will provide a framework for the next step, which in will in turn form the club development committee plan.
- Facilities
- Internal Structures
- Community Involvement
- Fundraising
- Communication
- Personal Development
It is now time to develop actions to make your vision a reality.
We would therefore invite you to attend the next step in this process, which will be facilited by Mark Conwayand Ryan Fenny ,on :-
Friday 3rd October
7.00-9-00PM
O’Neill Arms Hotel
This is an oppurtunity for everyone to:-
- Agree what the aims shoulds be , under each theme and:
- Agree what actions need to take place to ensure that the club can meet the aims, and who needs to be involved, and ;,
- Agree a way of checking whether we are meeting the aims.
Hope to see you there
