Guideline
- There is a binding legal requirement upon all juvenile coaches to complete a child protection course under the auspices of Access N.I.
- In the event the club playing fields are deemed unusable (e.g. because of inclement weather ) the Club Groundsman will endeavour to to inform the relevant parties at least 2 hours before prior to any scheduled event . The Club Groundsman will be the final arbitrator should any dispute ensue with regard to playing field availability
- Scheduled training sessions must be agreed in conjunction with the Club Registrar at the commencement of each new season . In-order to avail of the playing fields outside of agreed times permission must be sought from the Club Registrar.
- All fixtures must be arranged in conjunction with the Youth Coordinators secretary who will in turn relay the information to the Youth Coordinator and relevant bodies.
- At least one member from each coaching group ( U12-U14) will be responsible for compiling a short match report and results and forward to club P.R.O by prior arangement.
- One nominated member from each coaching group together with the Head Coach and Lead Coach will constitute the juvenile coaching committee.
- All coaches are expected to complete GAA level 1 coaching and at least one member of each coaching group must complete GAA level 2 coaching.
- All juvenile players should compete at the first age group for which they are eligible (e.g. 11YO should play for U12 as a priority ). Preference must be given to players that are within that age group ( e.g. 13YO should play for U14 before an 11YO as they should play for U12 first ). Coaches should not utilise players outside there specified age groups without consulting with the relevant coaches and Lead Coach.
- The Head Coach within each group must ensure that arrangements are in place so that team kits are washed on a regular basis and are suitably presented on match days. All players must adhere to the proper dress code on the field of play at all times .
- If any parent has a grievence or suggestion the first point of contact is with the head coach for the respective age group . If the parent is not satisfied with the outcome then the next step is to complete a Grievance /Comment form and forward it to the Youth Coordinator . Like wise if a coach cannot deal with a complaint he/she must take it to the Youth Coordinator . If the Youth Coordinator cannot satisfactorily deal with the issue then it will be presented to the Executive Committee who will be the final arbitrators on any such matter .
- Players who wish to be reimbursed for any medical treatment resulting from injuries incurred whilst participating on behalf of St Erganat’s must adhere to the protocol as set out by the Club Secretary .
