Congratulations to Moneyglass under 12 girls team who won the Sullivan cup Saturday 24th September in Glenravel. The girls gave a magnificent team preformance to remain unbeaten after five games.
They won three preliminary round games against Glenariffe, Glenravel and Breda B to get into the semi-final. Each game was competitive and required the Moneyglass girls to play very well to get the required result. The semi-final was against Carryduff and the defence on both sides were so strong that at half-time the score was 0-0. Carryduff scored the first point in the second half which seemed to jerk Moneyglass into action. They scored three consecutive goals to win the match 3-0 to 0-1. The final was against a very strong Breda A team and again both teams were even at the break. Moneyglass started the second half with great belief and scored a great goal. Breda responded with a point, after which Moneyglass scored a second goal to go five points ahead. Breda finished strongly with two great points but Moneyglass defended well to win the match 2-0 to 0-3. It was a worthy reward for a great team who have trained well all year. Well Done.

the girls did a lap of Loneyglass pitch and rightly so , below Aine scullin receiving the trophy .

well done to Anita , Eddie ,Peter and Ursula who have done stirling work with the girls this year .
