Moneyglass 1-19 Portglenone 0-11

Moneyglass gained another important victory towards division 1 survival with a comprehensive win over championship finalist Portglenone on Sunday evening. Moneyglass lead from start to finish and were inspired by some great performances throughout the field.

The vital score in the first half came in the 12th minute when Gareth Quinn one-two with midfield partner Adrian McKeefry to score the only goal of the game. Moneyglass completely out played their rivals and went into the break with a 1:10 to 0:4 lead.

The second half followed in the same fashion with two great scores from substitute James Marron and an impressive effort from the side line from Ryan Boyd. And although Portglenone made a number of changes and picked up their play in the last ten minutes it was never enough to trouble Moneyglass.

James Scullion, Ciaran Duffin and Mirron Neeson were solid in defence throughout. Gareth Quinn (1:0), Adrian McKeefry (0:03) completely ruled midfield. Upfront some superb long range efforts from Kevin Marron (0:05), Ryan Boyd (0:05) and James Marron (0:04) ensured a comfortable victory for Moneyglass 1:19 Portglenone 0:11.
