Moneyglass, in their second game in three days, swept aside a fancied St galls team. The home side imply had too much for the Belfast side towards the latter stages of the game.
The game started tit-for-tat, as Moneyglass tried to move ahead with some fine points by the pairing of sisters Ciara and Aine McIlroy, but St Galls were determined to keep up, going in at the break only two points down, 1-6 to 7 points, the Moneyglass goal scored by Ciara McCoy, who just is scoring goals for fun it seems.
However, it was the prowess on the on-form full forward that proved the difference, as Ciara added a futher 3 goals and a point in the second half. The other scores came from Cathy Carey, Aine McIlroy and Midfielder Geardine McCann, who never faltered throughout the game.
Once again, Moneyglass proved to much for their oppostion, and best on show were Ciara McCoy, Aine McIlroy, and Eimear Kelly.
At this stage of the season, the ladies are shaping up well to build on their championship win from last year, and with these victories, are setting their sights firmly on the league and championship double.
