Moneyglass made an explosive start scoring six unanswered points in the first 21mintues of the game. With two scores coming from the left foot of Kevin Marron from free kicks, two from full forward Gareth Quinn and special solo efforts from Ryan Doyle and Kevin Brady.
It took Lamh Derg 23 minutes to register their first score. But Moneyglass picked up again with two scores before the half, from each wing half back Kieran Duffin and Jervis Weir, given them a lead of 8 points to 1 at half time.
Both side swapped points at the start of the second half and Lamh Derg started to apply pressure on the Moneyglass defence closing the score to 12 – 05. But Moneyglass weathered the storm and stepped up a gear in the last ten minutes with four unanswered points running out of final score to 16:05.
An impressive display from Moneyglass with Kevin Marron leading the attack with seven points five from open play and supported by Gareth Quinn with 3 points.
Moneyglass were very strong in defence; with outstanding performance from the full back line especially James Scullion.
